Vectis 40’s Vintage members enjoyed a weekend of nostalgia and vintage fun at the annual Havenstreet 1940’s weekend.
The glorious weather and very high temperatures of around 30 degrees was a welcome bonus. The farm boys were busy making hay while the sun was shining!
The replica spitfire was very popular, as were the train rides
Carol was busy looking at the vintage displays, and the vintage motors looked stunning…
Meanwhile, Vectis 40s Vintage members, David, David and David(!) were travelling in style on the vintage trains …
Viv the Spiv compered the entertainment in his own cheeky manner.. Not arf!! The three belles provided the glamour, belting out wartime hits and a selection of new songs from their latest CD.
The police were on hand in case of any trouble…
Dancing displays were performed by the excellent Cinque Port Lindyhoppers
Derek Hartley also performed for the crowds in the style of Fred Astaire
Vectis 40s members Alan and Sylvia met up with David and Carol, whilst Barry and Tony were on the street keeping everyone safe!
A marvellous day was had by all, looking forward to doing it again in 2014!
